Neck

Wrap the measuring tape around the neck, and place two fingers between the neck and the tape.Show on diagram

Shoulder

Find the spot where the shoulder meets the arm, where a sleeve seam would normally sit. Measure the distance between the shoulder seams straight across the back. The tape should arch up to the base of the neck. You will need someone to help you with this.Show on diagram

Arm

Find the spot where the shoulder meets the arm. This is where a sleeve seam would normally sit. Measure from this point down along the arm and end just above the first knuckle of your thumb, making sure your arms are relaxed by your sides. It is better to make this measurement a bit longer than a bit too short.Show on diagram

Chest

Wrap the measuring tape around the chest. Keep the tape high up under the arms. Keep the tape straight and level at the back. Place one finger between the chest and the tape.Show on diagram

Waist

Wrap the measuring tape around your natural waistline. This is usually close to the belly button. Again, place one finger between the waist and the tape. Stand naturally for this.Show on diagram

Shirt Length

Place the tape where the shoulder and neck seams meet. From this point measure straight downwards to the point where you want the shirt to end, usually around the thumb point.Show on diagram

Frequently asked Questions

Q: How do I know my size?

Our standard sizes are based on the neck size and come with a specific sleeve length that can be shortened if required. This shortening service is free of charge.

Q: What is the difference between a ‘classic fit’ and ‘slim fit’ shirt?

All slim fit shirts are narrower at the chest (about 2.5”) and the waist (about 4”) than our classic fit shirts, but have the same sleeve and body length.
Our classic fit shirts are suitable for all shapes and sizes.
Those who like a more tapered look should opt for our slim fit shirts.

Q: How does custom sizing work?

Measure yourself using our step-by-step guide.
Our tailors adjust your body measurements based on your fit selection and height.
Our master tailor further refines your measurements based on years of experience in craftsmanship to create your individually tailored shirt.
Please note your body measurements are not your final garment measurements.

Q: Can I save my custom size measurements for future orders that I may make with www.milkshirts.com?

Yes, thankfully! We save your measurement profile in our system, so you can have all your future shirts tailored to fit, without having to re-enter your information.

Q: Will the shirts shrink when washed?

All good quality cottons – like those used at Milk Shirts will naturally shrink slightly when washed the first few times. However we accommodate for this in our construction to create the perfect fit.

Q: Can I return my shirt for an exchange or refund?

You may refund or exchange standard sized shirts, including free return shipping (unless monogrammed), however you may not refund a customized shirt. For further details please see our Returns Policy.

Q: Need advice on your perfect size and fit?
